Congratulations are in order for Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert! The Dancing with the Stars judge and his wife have become parents for the first time, and today revealed they welcomed a new arrival on December 29th.
Derek and Hayley have welcomed their daughter, Everley Capri Hough
Derek and Hayley shared an Instagram post to announce the arrival of their daughter, who is named Everley Capri Hough. “Every step of our lives has led us to you,” the pair wrote. “Our hearts have been cracked wide open, and our world is forever changed.”
The announcement clearly delighted fans and celebrity friends alike. Within hours, the post had racked up hundreds and thousands of likes and celebratory comments. “Welcome to the world, sweet angel Everley,” one person commented.
“Congratulations, so happy for you both. Welcome Everley,” another follower said. “I’m so so happy for you both,” added a third person.
The couple, who married in August 2023, first revealed they were expecting in July 2025. Sharing the happy news on Instagram, they said: “We can’t believe the biggest thing to happen to us could be so small.”
The sweet caption accompanied an equally adorable video. In it, Derek walked over to his wife and the pair hugged while looking at a scenic landscape. As the duo shared an embrace, Hayley showed a strip of sonogram photos to the camera.
“Wow!!! Yes!!! Congratulations to you THREE. So happy for you,” someone commented in response. “I AM SMILING & CRYING & can’t stop watching!!” another person added.
More recently, Derek opened up about his journey to parenthood on The Jennifer Hudson Show. “I see her bump, [and] I’m like, ‘Whoa.’ I’m like, ‘I’m gonna be a dad’,” he said. “And, I cannot wait. I cannot wait.”
