An influencer has tragically passed away at the age of 38 after undergoing cosmetic surgery. On January 4th, Yulia Burtseva was reportedly rushed from a private cosmetics clinic in Moscow to a hospital. At the hospital, her condition worsened, and she sadly passed away.

Russian news outlet, MSK1, first made the announcement of Yulia’s tragic death. In its report, the outlet said a criminal case had been opened to investigate potential negligence charges.
A translated Moscow Investigative Committee statement obtained by MSK1 said there are plans to seize “official and medical records.” The committee also stated that it ordered “a number of forensic examinations, including a medical one.”
According to MSK1, Yulia had earlier shared a video on the Russian social media platform, VK. She posted the video on the morning of her surgery from a coffee shop in Moscow.
It’s currently unclear which cosmetic surgery Yulia was undergoing, or what caused her death. However, The Sun reported she had a “butt-lift op” and suffered “anaphylactic shock” after having injections.
Cause of death aside, fans have flocked to her Instagram – where she has more than 73,000 Instagram followers – to share condolences. “I can’t believe it, we won’t see or hear you again, rest in peace!” one translated comment read. “My condolences to you!!!”
“Words can’t express such sorrow,” another translated comment said. “It gives me the shivers. Strength to her family.”
There were similar comments on Yulia’s other Instagram account. “Horror!! Just heard the news on tv!! What a shame!!” a translated comment said. Amongst the many comments were countless crying emojis, too.
Yulia leaves behind her husband, Giuseppe, and her daughter, both of whom she lived with in Naples, per her Instagram bio. We’re sending thoughts to Yulia’s loved ones at this difficult time.
