Kristen Bell stunned at the star-studded event at the Barker Hangar in Los Angeles in an Elie Saab gown listed at $4,200 on the brand’s official site. The dress featured a halter neckline with a slim strap that fastened at the neck, leaving her toned arms and upper back bare. What stole the show was the geometric panels of sheer floral lace in the bodice.
The lace inserts formed a subtle chevron pattern across the front and continued around the waist and mid-back. This delicate detailing not only contrasted the smooth fabric it was set around, but also added texture to the simple design. It gave the dress a distinct, lingerie-like feel without being overtly revealing. Meanwhile, the skirt fell straight to the floor and flared at the hem.
Bell accessorised with EEFY jewellery, including dangling diamond earrings and a few rings. She wore her hair in an updo to flaunt the back of her dress. Her makeup was soft, featuring a smoky eye, peach blush, and a nude pink lip, letting the dress steal the spotlight.
Jean Smart bagged the award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series at the 31st Critics Choice Awards. Besides Bell and Smart, Natasha Lyonne, Rose McIver, Edi Patterson, and Carrie Preston were among the nominees. Further, Bell’s co-star, Adam Brody, was nominated for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. However, Seth Rogen took home the award for his performance in “The Studio.”
