Mickey Rourke reportedly owes $59,100 in rent to his Los Angeles home and is now seeking the help of his fans to avoid eviction. A GoFundMe page, “Help Mickey Rourke Stay in His Home,” has been launched with the actor’s “full permission,” to raise the amount.

The crowdfunding page’s description says, “Mickey is facing a very real and urgent situation: the threat of eviction from his home. This fundraiser is being created with Mickey’s full permission to help cover immediate housing-related expenses and prevent that from happening.”

It adds, “Fame does not protect against hardship, and talent does not guarantee stability. What remains is a person who deserves dignity, housing, and the chance to regain his footing. The goal is simple: to give Mickey stability and peace of mind during an extremely stressful time—so he can stay in his home and have the space to get back on his feet.”

In conclusion, the fundraiser urges, “Any donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference. And if you’re not able to contribute, sharing this page is a huge help and deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for your kindness, compassion, and support.”

Liya-Joelle Jones, who created the GoFundMe page, is a member of Rourke’s management team and a close friend. Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Jones said, “Mickey is going through a very difficult time right now, and it’s been incredibly touching to see how many people care about him and want to help.”

According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, Mickey Rourke received the three-day eviction notice on December 18. As of the time of writing, the GoFundMe page has raised $36,413 out of the $100,000 goal.
