Kristen Stewart recalls ‘craziest’ events of 2025 and what expectations this year

Kristen Stewart recently revealed that she had the “craziest” 2025 and thus would like a “chill” new year. On Sunday, the diva attended Variety’s 10 Directors to Watch event at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. There, she elaborated her 2026 expectations in an interview with PEOPLE. She hinted at welcoming peace and calmness this year.

Listing her 2025 life events, Stewart mentioned that she got “married” to Dylan Meyer. Then, her wife directed a movie, “The Wrong Girls,” in which she starred as the main lead. Furthermore, Stewart also made a film, named “The Chronology of Water,” in which Meyer served as a co-producer.

Aside from these, she stated that they “went to Cannes,” insisting on how these multiple things blew her mind. Moreover, she quipped, saying that she “was so carbonated over the last year” that she would “need to get flat” and “go fizz out.” After an exciting 2025, the Oscar nominee admitted that she would take a breather before figuring out her next project. “There are a couple of things I want to do, but you need to, I need to chill before I can actually come back with the gusto that it’s going to take to make those movies,” she added.

Meanwhile, her latest directorial, “The Chronology of Water,” was written and co-produced by her as well. It premiered in Cannes 2025 and had a limited screening in the US in December last year. However, it will hit the theaters worldwide on January 9, 2026.
