Unfavorable comments made by a former Disney star about Ashley Tisdale have just resurfaced. It comes after Ashley, who starred in High School Musical and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody, to name a few, spoke out about ditching her “toxic mom group.”

To recap, Ashley this week wrote a scathing article in The Cut, titled: Breaking Up With My Toxic Mom Group. In it, she wrote about the group’s vibe and said it took her back to “unpleasant” experiences.
“All of a sudden, I was in high school again, feeling totally lost as to what I was doing ‘wrong’ to be left out,” she said in the article. Ashley also revealed that her decision to leave the group “didn’t exactly go over well.” That said, Ashley wrote that she “never considered the moms to be bad people.”
“But I do think our group dynamic stopped being healthy and positive — for me, anyway,” she concluded.
Since Ashley’s article dropped, comments previously made by fellow Disney star Anneliese van der Pol have come to light. Speaking on her Big Names podcast in 2023, Anneliese – who worked in a chain of restaurants after her Disney stint – recalled an alleged meeting with Ashley.
“One time I ran into Ashley Tisdale, and I had to serve her, she explained. “I want to say she was lovely,” Anneliese said of Ashley before drinking her cocktail instead of finishing the sentence. The former That’s So Raven cast member then said Ashley seemed visibly “uncomfortable” to see her working at a restaurant.
Anneliese described the encounter as “gut-wrenching” and said she felt judgment from customers who saw the interaction. When Anneliese’s comments made headlines back in 2023, Ashley did not respond.
