Here’s How George Clooney’s Son Reacted to ‘Batman & Robin’

Hollywood’s heartthrob, George Clooney, is basking in the critical success of his latest film, “Jay Kelly,” but his toughest critic might just be living under his own roof.

During an interview, the 64-year-old Oscar winner opened up about his life as a father to eight-year-old twins and the moment when he finally revealed his superhero to his son. Apparently, his stint in the 1997 film “Batman & Robin” has finally found its target audience in the Clooney household.

George Clooney showed his son ‘Batman & Robin,’ and he absolutely loved it

During a recent interview with W Magazine, Clooney recalled how his son chose to dress up as the Caped Crusader for Halloween. He shared, “My son went as Batman, but he hadn’t seen the movie yet.”

The actor further noted that whenever he tried to claim the title of the Dark Knight, his son didn’t believe him. To settle the debate, Clooney finally sat him down to watch the infamous blockbuster. Though the actor admitted the film “wasn’t great for grown-ups,” he happily reported that his son absolutely loved it, proving that “iconic” neon suits and gadgetry are a big hit with eight-year-olds.

While Clooney’s son embraces superheroes, his daughter prefers a “baddie” aesthetic, opting to dress as an evil witch over a princess.

Clooney portrays the titular role in Noah Baumbach’s “Jay Kelly,” which follows a fading Hollywood icon traveling through Europe. His performance has earned him a Golden Globe nomination. He starred opposite Adam Sandler, Laura Dern, Riley Keough, and Greta Gerwig, among others.

Elsewhere in the interview, Clooney was questioned about his first kiss, to which he responded, “We were hiding from all of our friends who were outside waiting, saying, ‘Kiss her! Kiss her!’ The relationship didn’t last—11-year-olds move on pretty quickly.”
