Concern is growing about Tommy Lee Jones’ emotional state. The Academy Award-winning actor lost his daughter on New Year’s Day to an apparent drug overdose. Victoria, who was 34, was found dead in a hotel in San Francisco. According to court documents, she struggled with drug and alcohol use prior to her death.
A new photo of Tommy has surfaced just days after the tragedy, prompting insiders to suggest he’s struggling to cope with what happened.

His daughter’s death appears to be still fresh in Tommy’s mind and understandably so. A new image and footage obtained by The Daily Mail shows the actor being supported by his third wife, Dawn. Upon seeing his facial expression, one insider said, “He is not himself right now.”
Victoria is one of two children that Tommy had with his ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley, the other being a son named Austin. Sources note that the actor from Men in Black and The Fugitive is not working at the moment, with many believing he’s still heartbroken over the loss.
His last credited film role was in 2023 in The Burial. He is due to co-star with James Franco in The Razor’s Edge, which began filming in 2024. No release date for that film has been announced.
Emergency services responded to a call on New Year’s Day, where they went to Victoria’s hotel. They were unable to revive her. She was reportedly with a small group of friends at the time and allegedly had been doing cocaine. Victoria was discovered at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
There were no immediate signs of foul play in her death or visible trauma, while no drug paraphernalia was reportedly discovered. An autopsy is being conducted by the Medical Examiner in San Francisco to determine the cause of death.
Police had previously conducted a wellness check on Victoria last year, while she had apparently been arrested twice in 2025.
