Donald Trump’s condition remains a subject of ridicule for a late-night comedian. Near the end of the opening monologue on his Wednesday show, Jimmy Kimmel called the President Teddy Dozevelt. On multiple occasions, the President has appeared to look fatigued in public, with some, like Jimmy, suggesting he’s dozing off.
The host shared a 40-second montage of Donald appearing to fall asleep. The President said in a recent interview that he is blinking rather than dozing off as some suggest. He says that closing his eyes is very relaxing for him.
Jimmy Kimmel isn’t letting up on his criticisms of President Trump
While he boasts about the number of wars he’s supposedly ended, Donald doesn’t appear to be anywhere close to ending his ongoing war with Jimmy Kimmel. The President was again at the forefront of the late-night hosts’ opening monologue on Wednesday’s edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Donald’s suggestion that he is blinking rather than sleeping got a rise out of Jimmy. He joked about that, saying, “That’s right, he has the rare ability to hold a blink for minutes at a time.”
Jimmy then showed a clip of the President seemingly falling asleep during a meeting with Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia. White House chief of staff Susie Wiles has denied that Donald is sleeping during meetings. She says when his eyes are closed and his head is leaning back, she knows he is fine.
The President blasted journalist Katie Rogers over a New York Times article she published in November. The piece claims that Donald goes to events later in his second term and struggles with fatigue. The President called Katie ugly while criticizing the publication for the article.
Jimmy has been bashed multiple times by Donald on his Truth Social. The comedian actually shouted out the President earlier this year when winning the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Talk Show.
