IShowSpeed’s meeting with his Zimbabwean doppleganger is leaving fans in stitches. The 20-year-old’s visit to Zimbabwe, a destination of his Speed Does Africa tour, is filled with exciting moments. One such instance that has taken the internet by storm is of Speed meeting his lookalike, Mudiwa Jani, at Harare’s Mbare Art Space.
The viral exchange, caught on livestream, begins with the content creator and Jani coming face to face before Jani asks, “Are you chat?” The dumfounded Speed can be seen asking the crowd and his audience, “who is this n**ga? Chat, who the f*ck is this?” Spectators cheer as the creator and his doppleganger lock eyes (literally) in a screaming face-off. A frustrated Speed tells Jani, “You ain’t the real Speed, bro”. Paying no heed to his remarks, Jani picks up the national flag before shouting “Zimbabwe! Zimbabwe!” as the crowd joins him.
When Speed questions his identity again, lookalike Jani tells him he’s his brother. He even asks Speed to call up his mom before he starts blabbering and ignores any further questions. The seemingly frustrated internet sensation calls Jani “fake”, pointing out how he can’t even do a backflip.
The exchange gets even more hilarious when the duo stands in front of the camera and asks IShowSpeed’s fanbase, “Chat, do we look alike?” They even question each other, asking, “Do we?” Further adding to the situation’s hilarity, Speed’s own bodyguard confuses his lookalike for him while trying to end the comical confrontation.
