Jordyn Woods‘s engagement ring is catching the light, signaling her bond with Karl-Anthony Towns. During a recent appearance on “Late Night with Seth Meyers”, the NBA All-Star explained the deeper meaning behind the betrothal ring.
Woods showed it off while hugging Towns in a balcony shot. The Instagram post, tagged at Overstory, carried a simple, cheeky wordplay caption: “Marry Christmas,” with a heart, ring, and Christmas tree emoji. It pulled 1.8 million likes and 30,000 comments, plus Kylie Jenner’s “jordyyyyyyyy.” The carousel went live on December 26, 2025, and timing is not subtle. They have been public since 2020.
Jordyn Woods’ engagement ring has a deeper meaning
In the “Late Night with Seth Meyers” YouTube clip, Karl-Anthony Towns framed the ring as proof. He told Seth Meyers the proposal landed as “a surprise” after “5 1/2 years” together. He said he went straight from the Christmas Day win to the proposal plan. Then he joked, “We found a way. We found a way. 5 1/2 years.”
The Knicks’ big man also explained the symbolism behind the stone. “I think the most important thing is that we always choose each other,” Towns said. “Through the bad and the good, we always found ourselves choosing each other.” Because of that, KAT said he wanted the design to carry their history, not just a price tag. “I wanted her to have a ring that shows that bond and relationship that we’ve built.” After that, he added, “I want everyone to know she’s mine.”
Meanwhile, Woods’ Instagram photos make the same point in soft focus. Her left hand leads the frame as she laughs into Towns’s shoulder. The socialite’s engagement ring flashes near his lapel. In another frame, the ring sits against the player’s coat as the skyline fades behind them. Still, the couple kept the announcement clean.
Furthermore, Towns said Woods was “ecstatic,” and then added, “I think I did well.” Also, he noted, “Her mom approved. That’s the most important thing.”
