Wicked movie co-stars and couple Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater are refuting rumors that their relationship is on the rocks. On the contrary, their friends are predicting that the two will make it official early this year, with a baby not in the too distant future.
The singer met her man on the Wicked set in mid-2023 and started dating him that summer. Their relationship was under the microscope from the beginning, as both were legally married when they met.

Although there have been many weeks of hearsay that Ariana and Ethan are having issues, a RadarOnline source contends, “they’re still very much together, and Ariana is telling everyone that she’s ready to take the next step with Ethan. She’s been dropping hints that it’s time for him to put a ring on her finger.”
Proof that the two are still going strong is the “Thank You, Next” singer’s recent Instagram post with her and Ethan at the London premiere of their sequel Wicked: For Good.
Ariana is still “very much pro-marriage” the source confirms, despite her divorce from real estate agent Dalton Gomez. “And Ethan seems to be just as all in and he’s very doting, so everyone’s expecting that he will propose soon,” the source says, adding, “they don’t really put their relationship out in public much because they get a lot of hate and that’s just very hard to take.”
At the time the two started dating, Ethan was ending his marriage to Lilly Jay. There was speculation that Ariana and Ethan began the relationship prior to breaking up with their former partners. However, this rumor was quickly put to rest.
Wedding bells may ring again soon, although not with a big celebration. “They actually might just elope and not have anything except a honeymoon to celebrate,” the source reveals. “Since she usually gets what she wants, odds are there’ll be a diamond under the tree for her this Christmas. And once they are married, a baby is next on her list – she’s ready for the whole enchilada.”
