It seems that Vanessa Hudgens’ breakup with Austin Butler also caused a rift in her friendships. The actress-singer was close friends with her “High School Musical” co-star Ashley Tisdale. The bond reportedly grew while they worked on films, and they were often seen together throughout the 2000s. However, recent reports suggest that Hudgens’ friendship with Tisdale took a backseat after her split from Butler.
Austin Butler and Vanessa Hudgens’ split affected her friendship with Ashley Tisdale, claims a source
Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler reportedly parted ways in early 2020. The couple was allegedly together for 9 years and split up, sources say, because of their hectic work schedules. Amid this, a recent report by The Sun states that her breakup also affected her special bond with her close pal, Ashley Tisdale.
According to a source, they slowly drifted apart as they “grew into very different adults.” However, their friendship took a back seat when Hudgens broke up with Butler. An insider allegedly told the publication, “But their friendship officially ended when Austin [Butler] broke up with Vanessa.”
According to the source, this could have happened because Tisdale and Butler are friends as well. Hence, things may have gone sour, as the person notes that the “Spring Breakers” star felt that Tisdale was “much more supportive of Austin than she was of her.”
“She didn’t feel supported during that breakup and felt Ashley focused on herself, her family, and her problems when Vanessa was in a time of need,” the insider continued. “Eventually, it was healthier for them to no longer have a close friendship, so there was never a question of Ashley being invited to her wedding,” the person added.
Tisdale and Butler reportedly met while working on the 2009 sci-fi comedy “Aliens in the Attic.” Their friendship is quite close, and they have maintained their bond since then.
