As fans await clarity on whether Travis Kelce will return for another season, sources suggest the tight end is weighing options off the field. A source exclusively told Us Weekly that Kelce is in talks with Netflix to “serve as their exclusive broadcast sports correspondent.” The insider added that the terms of the reported deal are “still being finalized, but discussions are well underway.”

Another source told the outlet that Kelce has also spoken with his team about the possibility of retiring and not playing next season. Those conversations reportedly included discussions about what his next career step could look like if he does choose to walk away from the game.

Moreover, Travis Kelce addressed the uncertainty surrounding his NFL future on the January 7 episode of his podcast, New Heights. “It’s a tough thing to navigate, but at the same time, I think if my body can heal up and rest up and I can feel confident that I can go out there and give it another 18, 20, 21-week run, I think I would do it in a heartbeat,” he said. “I think right now it’s just finding that answer and seeing how the body feels after this game, and when it all settles down,” he added.

If Travis Kelce opts for television like Netflix instead of returning to the NFL, the move could be lucrative. Andrew Marchand of The Athletic reported that Kelce could ask for an annual salary of “anywhere from $10 to $20 million” in a broadcast role. Additionally, earlier reports also suggested ESPN made an offer to Travis Kelce, who, if agreed, would follow his brother Jason Kelce.
