Snoop Dogg’s Speech Was Cut off at 2026 Golden Globes for This Reason

Snoop Dogg’s speech was censored during the Golden Globes 2026. The 54-year-old rapper took centre stage to present the first-ever Best Podcast category. Dressed in a black suit with a hint of red, he walked out to greet the live audience. The entertainer looked sleek as he made a stylish entry on stage, with his 2004 hit song “Drop It Like It’s Hot” playing in the background.

Snoop Dogg was bleeped out at Golden Globes 2026 for using profanity on stage later during the presentation. The “Let it Roll” rapper exclaimed, “stop the music,” as he turned to the audience to offer some advice.

He remarked, “I need y’all to loosen up a little bit. This is the double-Gs, the double-Gs, it’s the Golden Globes, and you’re with the D-O-double-G. So, make sure you enjoy yourself, don’t be no stiff biff! Move around a little bit!”

The crowd laughed as Snoop smiled gently before proceeding to announce the winner. He quipped, “Best Podcast is a very important category for me, because, before podcasts, I was what y’all would listen to driving around in your cars. To you podcasters, you better hope I don’t get in that game.”

He paused for the award ceremony to play a video compilation of the awards night, highlighting the Best Podcast nominees. The “Sensual Seduction” rapper continued, “Shout-out to the Golden Globes for putting the podcast category in this awards show. And shout-out to all of the podcasters. You all are winners, but the real winner is” (via Entertainment Weekly).

However, before he announced the winner, the iconic rapper couldn’t resist passing a candid comment. He joked with a deadpan expression, “I’m high as a motherf***** right now. Y’all had me here too damn long.” The crowd roared with laughter.

But it seems like the Golden Globes did not deem it appropriate for viewers and censored the comment during the official telecast. They also excluded the bit from their official social media account. However, eagle-eyed fans like X (formerly Twitter) user @FearedBuck were ready with the receipts and shared a recording of the moment on his X account.

Fans on the internet enjoyed Snoop’s candour and sense of humor on stage. One fan commented, “Man’s just speaking the truth, no filter needed.” A second fan wrote, “Snoop being Snoop ^^.” Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast won in the inaugural category. Poehler remarked, “Wow, this is exactly how I pictured it: Snoop giving me the award. Thank you so much!”
