Megyn Kelly is firing back at an Emmy-nominated actress. The podcast host took exception to Melissa Gilbert going online to discuss abuse. Melissa’s husband, Timothy Busfield, is facing allegations of sexual abuse of two boys. The alleged incidents took on set for the show The Cleaning Lady in 2022. He is facing two counts of sexual abuse involving a minor and one count of child abuse.
Megyn blasted the Little House on the Prairie actress, accusing her of “trying to cover up for the huge sexual molestation.” The host has a history of feuding with Melissa as the latter slammed her online in November for not referring to sex offender Jeffrey Epstein as a pedophile.
Megyn Kelly is not a fan of Melissa Gilbert “lecturing” her
Megyn fired shots back at Melissa and her husband this week. On The Megyn Kelly Show, Monday, the host mentioned how insulted she felt by Melissa’s “lecturing” in November. She went to accuse Melissa of knowing “full well that her husband had been accused of molesting two young boys.”
As for her controversy over the Jeffrey Epstein comments, Megyn said she was making a distinction between the legal term for pedophile and who it encompasses. The financier died in prison in 2019.
On the allegations against Timothy, Megyn says that she will keep an open mind without prejudging him. She noted that, for her, it is bizarre that the Revenge of the Nerds actor isn’t turning himself in to the police. Megyn is no stranger to slamming celebrities. In late October, she took aim at actress Jamie Lee Curtis. Megyn called her “completely dishonest” for comments about Charlie Kirk. Jamie sounded emotional when initially speaking of Charlie’s assassination but said in a later interview that she simply appreciated his faith in god.
Timothy remains at large and has not yet been located. An investigation into his alleged abuses began in 2024.
