The Adam Peaty family feud is now colliding with a Netflix edit. After his December 27 wedding, relatives are said to fear being “painted as difficult.” They worry their side will not be heard. It is also the latest twist in the swimmer’s long-running family rift.
Meanwhile, the Olympic breaststroke star married Holly Ramsay at Bath Abbey. Her father is Hell’s Kitchen host Gordon Ramsay. Now, Peaty’s family feud and father-in-law Gordon Ramsay’s documentary chatter is raising the stakes for both families.

According to a Closer report dated January 13, 2026, the Peatys fear a one-sided story. The insider said, “They won’t be asked how they felt.” The same source added, “Their absence will be explained for them.”
The insider also warned, “They’re terrified they’ll be painted as difficult or unsupportive.” However, the report said Adam and Holly “disinvited all of his family” except sister Bethany. It was later alleged that his father, Mark, could attend with limits. The source said, “Caroline didn’t walk away lightly.” They added, “She was heartbroken.”
The report linked the rift to a stag trip in Budapest. James Peaty, Adam’s brother, was reportedly “arrested on suspicion of harassment.” Police added he was released on conditional bail.
Adam’s mother Caroline posted a blunt New Year’s message. She wrote, “I lost a piece of myself this year.” She added, “I deserve a year that doesn’t hurt.” Caroline also prayed her “heart never has to break like this again” (via Hello! Magazine).
For now, Peaty is still known as a Games mainstay. He chased a third straight 100m Olympic breaststroke title in Paris 2024. He was made an MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in the 2017 New Year honours.terr
