Ashley Tisdale Takes to Self-Care Amid ‘Toxic Mom Group’ Drama

Ashley Tisdale is focusing on herself as public conversation continues around her candid reflections on motherhood and friendship. The actor and entrepreneur recently shared a glimpse into how she’s unwinding amid ongoing online chatter sparked by an essay about her experience in a mom group. Rather than engaging directly in the discourse, Tisdale appears to be leaning into rest, calm, and personal boundaries. Her latest update suggests that, for now, self-care is taking priority.

Earlier this week, Ashley Tisdale posted a series of Instagram stories documenting a quiet spa day. In one image, she appeared relaxed on a massage table, sharing that she was enjoying “just a little massage and facial day.” Additional posts showed a serene setting filled with natural light, soft linens, and meditation elements like singing bowls.

The self-care moment comes after Tisdale published an essay in The Cut, expanding on themes she previously explored in a blog post about stepping away from a mom group she described as “toxic.” In her writing, Tisdale alleged that the dynamic within the group shifted over time, leaving her feeling “hurt” and “drained.” She emphasized that her experience was personal and framed the essay as a broader message about recognizing when relationships no longer serve you.

While Tisdale did not name anyone in her essays, speculation quickly followed online about the identities of the women involved. Since then, several public figures rumored to be connected to the group have responded in their own ways. Matthew Koma, the husband of Hilary Duff, criticized the essay on his Instagram story, calling Tisdale “The Most Self Obsessed Tone Deaf Person On Earth.”

Separately, Meghan Trainor, who has also been speculated online to be connected, has publicly stated that she was not involved in any alleged conflict. In a recent TikTok, Trainor joked about the situation using audio from “Stranger Things,” and captioned the video with a message insisting she was “innocent.”

The “High School Musical” alum herself has not directly addressed the responses from others. Instead, her recent posts suggest she’s choosing calm over confrontation. In her essay, Tisdale noted that friendships “have seasons,” and that “choosing to step away doesn’t make you mean or judgmental. It makes you honest with yourself.”
