Donald Trump & Zohran Mamdani’s ‘Bromance’ Gets a New Update — Source

A new report has emerged, offering insight into Donald Trump‘s dynamic with NYC mayor Zohran Mamdani. The report suggests that the two have been texting each other since their White House meeting two months ago, during which they were unexpectedly cordial. Notably, the President was one of the new mayor’s vocal opponents before his election.

Sources suggest Donald Trump and Zohran Mamdani are texting each other

Donald Trump and Zohran Mamdani have reportedly been exchanging “friendly” messages at least two times a week. According to the New York Post, Trump and Mamdani have been discussing a plethora of topics, including the United States’ capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro — a political move the latter has criticized — and zoning red tape in New York City’s real estate environment.

A source shared that while the conservative President and socialist mayor couldn’t appear “too cozy” with each other, it wouldn’t make “practical or political sense” for them to attack each other, whether verbally in public or in private. The insider further stated, “Mamdani would be smart to kiss Trump’s a**. Especially when the federal government can withhold billions from the city.”

Meanwhile, Andrew Kirtzman, CEO of KSX’s strategic communications, opined that Trump being comfortable with Mamdani was “remarkable.” However, Kirtzman stressed that the President was “looking for an olive branch” with the 34-year-old’s leadership.

Kirtzman continued, “He hated [Bill] de Blasio, the last left-wing mayor, and probably felt estranged from the city because of it. He seems to feel an emotional connection with Mamdani. The mayor must be totally amazed by what’s happening.” He also opined that the Democratic Socialists of America would excuse Mamdani’s unlikely friendship with Trump.

According to Axios, Donald Trump and Zohran Mamdani began texting soon after their November White House meeting, when both exchanged numbers.

Notably, Mamdani admitted that he had “exchanged a handful of texts” with Trump since their White House meeting at a press briefing. In the event, Mamdani stressed that he would always make the case for New York whenever he and Trump reached out. He added that if he ever came across a possibility of advancing an agenda benefiting New Yorkers, he would take the opportunity to speak to the President about it and also be honest about disagreements.
