The longtime anonymous alleged daughter of a rock legend has died. Known as the “secret” daughter of Freddie Mercury, the woman known only as Bibi was battling a rare cancer.
The identity of the late Queen singer’s girl had only came out this past summer. Lesley Ann Jones uncovered the mystery in her bombshell novel Love, Freddie.
While her existence was unknown to countless fans until recently, Bibi was reportedly very close to her famous father until his death. Freddie died in 1991 from bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS.

Like her alleged father, Bibi fought a crippling disease bravely. Her widower Thomas told the Daily Mail that she died “peacefully after a long battle with chordoma, a rare spinal cancer.” He added that she is now with her beloved father in the world of thoughts.
According to Lesley’s book, Freddie had secretly fathered her following an affair in 1976. The author said that she has DNA evidence to back this up. She says that she became very close with Freddie’s daughter, expressing devastation over her death. Lesley’s book shares how the Killer Queen singer supposedly fathered a child with a married friend and kept the existence of the child a closely guarded secret.
Although the public didn’t know her during Freddie’s illustrious rock career, Bibi apparently saw her dad in concert. She would also trace his tours on a globe he gave her. Lesley’s book is based on 17 volumes of journals given to her before Freddie’s death.
Before the tell-all book came out, Freddie’s former partner, Mary Austin, said she’d be shocked if Freddie had a daughter. That’s something she claimed to have no knowledge of. Mary is said to have an estimate net worth of $120 million as of last year.
Bibi had fought off the cancer for a long time, even at one point reportedly being in remission. She leaves behind two sons, aged nine and seven.
