Heated Rivalry actor François Arnaud has unfollowed the show’s cast and crew. This includes his co-stars Hudson Williams, Robbie G.K. and Connor Storrie, along with the hit drama’s creator, writer and director Jacob Tierney.
The hit Canadian TV series is based on the Game Changers book series by Rachel Reid. It is based on the secret romance between two male Canadian hockey players.

François cut his social media followers down from more than 1,000 to just 213 in the last week, according to Just Jared.
Some are speculating the purge is due to online threats François experienced during Heated Rivalry’s New York City press week, Page Six reports. François appeared at JFK Airport with Connor, which prompted rumors that the two are dating. Fans, who prefer Connor be paired with his on-screen partner, Hudson, stirred up social media commotion on X.
“Nasty comments and online harassment seem to have caused François to limit his online presence,” a fan posted. Another commented, “They need to leave this gentle king alone.” And a third fan asked, “The comments and harassment is horrible and unjustified, but I don’t get unfollowing his cast members?”
One commenter is concerned this backlash will prevent François from returning for Season 2 of the popular show. “If because of toxic fans we don’t get François Arnaud in season 2 of HEATED Rivalry I’m gonna lose my f–king mind believe me,” an X user wrote.
During his appearance on the Sirius XM podcast The Morning Mashup, François voiced his frustration, saying he may close his social media account. “Oh, Helen Hunt… who not only followed me and other guys from the show, also commented on an old post of me, an old post,” he said. “And she said, ‘You’re so good in this and everything else.’ I was like, ‘Is she going through my whole filmography?’ Yeah, I had to, I’m like, ‘Oh delete Instagram now. I don’t need to see anything else.’ Shut the whole thing down.”
“This is how it should end,” he added. “This is my happy ending.”
