Sarah Ferguson & Ex-Prince Andrew Will Never Be ‘Truly Divorced’ — Expert

Sarah Ferguson and ex-Prince Andrew are entering a rare new phase after years of staying close. “It’s hard to see how they would ever be truly divorced,” royal expert Jennie Bond said. The York exes are now expected to live apart for the first time in decades.

Still, the connection is not going anywhere fast. They share daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie and grandchildren. Thus, even with separate homes, their family link is expected to stay steady.

Expert believes Sarah Ferguson and Ex-Prince Andrew will never be ‘truly divorced’

According to the Mirror, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond thinks their bond will remain. Bond said, “Unless Fergie knows something about her ex husband that we don’t, I think she’ll continue to be part of his life, even if she doesn’t share his new home. They’ve shared so much, good and bad, it’s hard to see how they would ever be truly divorced.” In turn, that take frames as logistics, not a total break. Bond’s point is simple: a divorce does not always cut ties. For this pair, family responsibilities keep them linked.

For context, Sarah Ferguson and former Prince Andrew divorced in 1996. However, they stayed unusually connected as co-parents. For years, they also shared a Windsor base and moved as a unit. At the same time, living apart can still change the optics. It may shift how often they appear together in public.

However, neither side has suggested a public split beyond living arrangements. Prince Andrew, the younger brother of King Charles, has largely stayed out of the spotlight. Ferguson, a longtime author and public figure, has kept her own schedule. Ultimately, this looks like an address change, not a clean reset. Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor may live separately, but the tie remains. And Bond’s “truly divorced” line is why people are watching.
