Forrest and Sheena originally met on social media and quickly developed an inseparable bond. After seven long years, Forrest finally traveled to the Philippines to meet Sheena. Forrest’s mother, Molly, and his step-father, Dev, joined him for the trip, which has complicated things for him and Sheena.
While many fans adore Forrest and Sheena, recent developments have caused some viewers to question their authenticity. The couples story line this season has centered around them meeting for the first time, after dating for seven years. However, eagle-eyed fans discovered that Forrest and Sheena may have, in fact, met in person much earlier in their relationship.
During the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days Season 8 premiere, Forrest claimed he had never met Sheena in person
When Forrest was introduced during the Season 8 premiere, he emphasized that this would be his first time ever meeting Sheena in person. He explained that for seven years, they had managed to make their relationship work online. Forrest had adapted his house into a smart home, with 24/7 video camera access for Sheena to watch him. He also changed his sleeping schedule to be on Filipino time, giving him more time to talk to Sheena.
Forrest was obviously nervous to meet Sheena, and Molly was insistent on going with him to keep him safe. This all strongly suggested that Forrest had never been to the Philippines and had never met Sheena in person. He explained that it took them so long to meet as he had to save up money for the plane ticket, which made sense at the time. However, Forrest’s backstory has now become somewhat questionable.
Internet sleuths recently uncovered alleged photos of Forrest and Sheena together in 2019
Recent social media findings strongly indicate that Forrest may not have been honest about never meeting Sheena. Instagram blogger Shabooty posted some evidence that was dug up by viewers, essentially confirming that Forrest and Sheena had previously met.
A post from 2019 showed a selfie of Forrest and Sheena, in which they both looked visibly younger. It’s clear that this photo wasn’t taken recently, and that it wasn’t AI generated, as the post was made in 2019. Another screenshot showed a chat between Sheena and one of her clients at her veterinarian job. Sheena sent a picture of Forrest with the client’s dogs, where he again looked several years younger than he is now. The photos were definitely from 2019, which would’ve been about a year after Forrest and Sheena met. It would make sense for Forrest and Sheena to have met after a year of dating, making it more likely that Forrest wasn’t completely truthful with viewers.

Shortly after the photos from 2019 resurfaced, more evidence of another meeting between Forrest and Sheena in 2023 emerged online. In 2023, Forrest and Sheena took several photos while allegedly celebrating Christmas together. Like the photos from 2019, Forrest and Sheena looked visibly different than they do on the show. It’s evident this was a previous meeting, further proving that Forrest and Sheena weren’t honest about not meeting in person previously.
In the 2023 photos, Forrest was also shown celebrating alongside Sheena’s parents. Forrest emphasized during Season 8 that he had never met Sheena’s parents either, which also appears to be a lie. It isn’t clear why Forrest and Sheena lied; however, it’s hard to argue that they didn’t. The evidence from 2019 and 2023 clearly points to them previously meeting in person. It will be interesting to see if they are called out on this during the Season 8 Tell All, which should air in a few months.
