Donald Trump Switched Planes for This Reason

President Donald Trump changed planes to continue his trip to Davos, Switzerland, to attend the World Economic Forum. He initially commenced his trip on Air Force One. However, the plane was forced to return to base in Maryland after it faced a minor electrical issue. Trump and his entourage later resumed their journey. They departed about two and a half hours after their initial takeoff aboard Air Force One.

Donald Trump changed flights after Air Force One issue

Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt revealed that Air Force One was forced to return to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland after facing a “minor electrical issue.” The plane was in the air for 1 hour and 20 minutes after takeoff. It landed back at base after 11 pm local time. It was reported that the lights went off briefly after takeoff. To ensure the safety of everyone aboard, the plane was called back to the base. However, this didn’t hinder Trump’s journey, given that he changed the aircraft to resume his trip to Davos.

Ahead of his visit, Trump took to Truth Social to reveal that he had a telephone call with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte about Greenland. He also revealed that he’ll meet with “various parties” in Davos, without mentioning their names.

President Trump said, “As I expressed to everyone, very plainly, Greenland is imperative for National and World Security. There can be no going back — On that, everyone agrees! The United States of America is the most powerful Country anywhere on the Globe, by far. Much of the reason for this is a rebuilding of our Military during my First Term, which rebuilding continues at even more expedited pace.” He further added, “We are the only POWER that can ensure PEACE throughout the World — And it is done, quite simply, through STRENGTH!”

Following this unpredictable inconvenience caused by the electrical issue, the president will arrive in Davos on Wednesday.
