Zayn Malik had to apologize to fans during the first show of his new touring venture. Although he owned up to the blip, the Pillowtalk singer was determined that the show must go on, and he would deliver the best performance he could.
The musician has just opened his Las Vegas residency at Dolby Live at the Park MGM, for a seven-night engagement. After he wraps up his time in Sin City, Zayn will be embarking on a 21-stop concert tour across the world.
Zayn Malik wasn’t feeling 100% during his first performance at Vegas hotspot Park MGM

“I just want to apologize as well,” Zayn told the audience during a show, in a video obtained by E! News. “I have not been well for like the last two weeks. I’ve had a bit of a sinus infection, my throats a bit dry.”
However, his mood remained upbeat that evening, hoping to bring fans the best night he could. “But we’re here! No cancellations, and we’re going to have a f*cking great time tonight.”
The former One Direction member was honest about his weaknesses, however. He asked the Las Vegas audience to help him overcome his vocal challenges. “If you want to sing as loud as you want to sing, please do that.”
Poor Zayn has had quite a few issues as he establishes his career as a touring artist. The singer did not tour his first few albums due to ongoing anxiety issues. Due to the death of former bandmate Liam Payne, as well as “unforeseen circumstances” and illnesses, several dates were rescheduled for his Stairway to the Sky tour between 2024 and 2025. Dates in Newcastle and Mexico City were cancelled altogether.
