Pop icon Taylor Swift and Lively share a close bond. Perhaps that is why her name appeared in private text messages that have now been unsealed in court. Recently, Sigrid McCawley, Lively’s attorney, spoke to reporters outside a Manhattan courthouse. As reported by TMZ, the attorney mentioned the “Gossip Girl” actor has been trying hard to “protect” her friends. These include Swift.
The reporter asked McCawley how Lively felt when the texts sent by her friends, including Swift, were made public. To this, she said, “Blake has worked very hard to protect her friends. The acquaintances she had along the way, and this case is not about those individuals.” She continued that the case was about Lively and how she was subjected to sexual harassment at her workplace.
McCawley added that Lively wants to take the case to trial. She continued that the actor feels “strong about her claims” and has a lot of “evidence.” The attorney further said that the actor wants to stand up for the women. Especially those who have faced harassment at their workplace. She wants to set the right example for them.
