Jaime King has opened up for the first time since it was revealed that her husband has filed for divorce. Speaking about Austin Sosa’s decision, Jaime said she felt “blindsided.”
Jaime and Austin met through friends in December 2024 and got engaged last summer. Given that divorce is now on the cards, they seemingly married in secret sometime after that.

“I was completely blindsided by the divorce filing, which came out of nowhere,” Jaime told PageSix just hours after Austin filed to end their marriage.
“I was with Austin the night before it became public,” she went on. “Like many marriages, we had normal challenges, [but] I genuinely believed we were working on our relationship.”
While chatting to PageSix, Jaime denied claims that she’s recently been on dates with famed hotelier Vikram Chatwal. “Any recent interactions being referenced publicly were strictly professional business meetings,” she said. “[They] have no connection to this private matter.”
Looking to the future, Jaime said her family is her priority. “My focus right now is my work and, above all, my children,” she explained, referring to the two children she has from her previous marriage.
“This is deeply personal and should remain private, and I hope people will stop making assumptions,” the actor went on. “Particularly ones that unfairly and disproportionately scrutinize women simply for doing their jobs.”
Jaime is best known for her roles in Sin City, Hart of Dixie, White Chicks, and Pearl Harbor, to name a few. On the set of Fanboys, she met director Kyle Newman. They married and welcomed two sons before calling time on their romance in 2023 after 17 years together. Jaime and Kyle’s divorce was finalized in September of that year.
