The Queer Eye cast self-imploded the day before their final season dropped on Netflix, and Bobby Berk has officially entered the chat. The former Fab Five member just uploaded a slightly shady post to his social media, seemingly pointing at the Karamo Brown drama, and honestly? It must feel good to be this unbothered.
Bobby Berk hinted at “karma” amid the Queer Eye cast fallout
As a reminder, Karamo distanced himself from the Fab Five ahead of the Season 10 Queer Eye premiere, with his reps releasing statements suggesting that he felt mentally and emotionally abused during his time on the show. Allegedly, a hot mic moment between Karamo’s mom, Tan France, Antonio Porowski, and Jonathan Van Ness took the group to a place of no return.
As the drama continues to play out online and in the headlines, Bobby dropped a not-so-subtle post, all while promoting his new show on HGTV.
“How’s everyone’s week going?!” Bobby nonchalantly wrote on Instagram on January 21.
He added, “Have you seen my new show Junk or Jackpot?! on @HGTV, @HBO Max and @Discovery+?”
At first glance, this might sound like an innocent self-promotion for his HGTV show. But between the timing of the post and the fact that he set Chappell Roan’s song, My Kink Is Karma, to play in the background? This is shade, and there are layers to it.
Bobby was the first Queer Eye cast member to sound the alarm on the Fab Five when he departed the show following Season 8. At the time, he hinted that a personal feud with Tan led to his departure.
Those feud rumors were exacerbated when Tan’s friend, Jeremiah Brent, got hired to replace Bobby. Tan denied the claims, but Karamo’s latest accusations put things with this group in a new light.
According to Bobby, Queer Eye didn’t pay that well anyway, so he can kick his feet up and watch the chaos unfold with the rest of us.
Queer Eye is streaming on Netflix.
