Victoria Beckham Lands Her First Number One Single Amid Brooklyn Family Feud

Amid all the hate flung at her this week, Victoria Beckham’s music has experienced a resurgence. The former Spice Girl was blasted online by her eldest son, Brookyln, for her alleged behavior at his wedding. In a lengthy Instagram rant where he called out his family, he seemed to target his mother for supposed inappropriate dancing on his big night.

It’s been decades since Victoria put out a studio solo album, but her alleged antics have made her music relevant again. In 2001, she released the album Victoria Beckham, featuring the single Not Such an Innocent Girl. Fans are buzzing about that song, which is surely making them think about the allegations against Posh Spice.

Not Such an Innocent Girl has reached #1 on iTunes in the UK and Ireland. During its original release, that song debuted at #6 on the UK singles chart. It sold 350,000 units in its first week of sales. In 2001, it was the UK’s 163rd-best-selling album, selling over 93,000 copies in the country as of 2021.

Her old song isn’t the only thing trending with Victoria these days. Her dance videos from years ago are going viral in the aftermath of her son’s accusations. Even an old clip of her taking control of a wedding during an episode of Ugly Betty has resurfaced.

For years, Victoria’s primary focus has been on her fashion business, with music seemingly non-existent. Aside from an appearance with her old band at the 2012 London Olympics, she has rarely performed.

Victoria’s trending song from the early 2000s also reached the top five in numerous other countries, including Brazil, Norway, the Netherlands, and Panama.
