Evangeline Lilly is preparing for her future, following her traumatic brain injury (TBI) in 2025.
The actress revealed in May of last year that she sustained a horrific injury after falling at the beach. “I fainted at the beach. And fell face first into a boulder,” Evangeline revealed in a statement via her Substack essay.
Almost a year on, she is opening about her post-injury plans.

In an Instagram post from this year, Evangeline revealed that the TBI caused her brain damage. “[It’s] comforting to know my cognitive decline isn’t just peri-menopause,” Evangeline wrote on the app. The diagnosis came months after her injury in the summer, in which she also faced bruises and lacerations across her face and head.
Although the Lost actor welcomed a formal diagnosis, she added it was “discomforting to know what an uphill battle it will be to try to reverse the deficiencies.”
Speaking in a new Instagram post shared this weekend, the now-retired actress revealed her plan to “restore her brain health.”
“I have spent a lot of money getting evaluated and getting targeted, expert advice on how to heal my brain,” she continued.
While acknowledging not everyone could afford to try her experimental remedy, “this advice was for me specifically.” In the video, the Ant-Man star explained she was taking a number of supplements to counteract the damage. These included the antioxidant N-Acetyl Cysteine in the morning, followed by Resveratrol, Curcumin, and Omega-3s at lunch, and Coenzyme Q10 with dinner.
Evangeline’s health comments have gotten her in hot water in the past. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, the star revealed she was refusing to self-quarantine. In 2022, she took part in a demonstration against vaccination mandates in Washington, D.C.
Evangeline, who originally hails from Canada, called on then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to meet with her and the other anti-vax demonstrators.
