Rob and Michele Reiner’s Family Worry Private Medical Data Could Surface

As the investigation of accused murderer Nick Reiner continues, Rob and Michele Reiner’s family worries that private medical details will be revealed. The couple also shared children Romy and Jack.

Nick was taken into custody December 14 and charged with two counts of murder. His mental health struggles have been widely publicized.

A source says the Reiner family is “bracing for another devastating blow,” about Nick’s sensitive health information being publicized. “They’ve worked so hard to keep these issues private — no one knew about them,” the insider told Rob Shuter’s Substack page.

“The thought of this being exposed would break their hearts. There has been so much hardship and difficulty in this seemingly perfect family. They’ve tried for years to protect Nick and each other, and this is devastating for them.”

For years, Nick’s mental health struggles, such as schizophrenia and addiction, were kept quiet by the family. With the trial on the horizon, family and friends are concerned his medical records and conservatorship details will be revealed.

“This is not just a legal case — it’s a family tragedy,” the source explained. “They’re terrified of what happens if everything becomes public, and of the toll it will take on everyone who loved Rob, Michele and Nick.”

Defense attorney, Alan Jackson, maintains that his former client is innocent. On Wednesday, January 21, Alan appeared on NewsNation’s Jesse Weber Live and said, pursuant to California laws, Nick Reiner is not guilty. “I believed it then, I believe it now,” he says.

Although he cannot share details, Alan maintains Nick should be acquitted of the crime. “We uncovered every single thing you could possibly uncover, at least up to that moment, with regard to Nick’s case,” he said.

Nick’s next court date is February 23, when he will be represented by a public defender.
