Justin Baldoni‘s parents, Sam and Sharon, took to social media to share lengthy, heartfelt notes on their son’s 42nd birthday. While reflecting on the day Baldoni was born and expressing his pride in the man he has become today, Sam also addressed what seemed like the Lively-Baldoni legal battle. Moreover, Sharon shared an image of a lengthy note wishing him happy birthday while revealing where her son’s name was derived from. This public tribute comes amid the feud between Baldoni and Lively, which has been going on since 2024, a few months after the release of their film, It Ends with Us.

Sam and Sharon Baldoni took to Instagram to share separate posts for Justin Baldoni’s birthday. Sharon’s post included a birthday wish and details on the origin of his name. The actor-filmmaker’s mother revealed that when Justin was born, she had already decided she would name him after a quote in Baha’i writings. Sharon mentioned that her son had the quote by heart and that it’s a part of his existence.
On the other hand, Sam shared an image from Baldoni’s childhood with a lengthy caption. In the image, he and Sharon could be seen all happy, holding little Justin, who seemed to be playing with what appears to be a paper.
He wrote, “Happy Birthday Justin Louis Baldoni! Being a new dad I had no idea what to expect when Justin was born. His birth (our first) was not easy. Sharon spent 34+hours in labor and we ended up cesarean. As a result I got to hold him first and was able to put his little face against his mom’s cheek. It was a spiritual, very exhilarating close to God kind of experience.”
He further penned that since the day Baldoni was born, he has been the source of happiness and light in their lives. Expressing pride in his son, the person he grew up to be, Sam mentioned how he never stopped learning and always showed up for the people he loved.
“I envy his continual dedication to his family and his love and admiration for his truly perfect partner Emily my dearly loved Daughter-in-love. Son, In a year full of turmoil and injustice you have remained steadfast in your faith knowing that truth and justice will prevail! Happy Birthday Son, I love you with all my heart and soul,” he concluded his note.
