Taylor Swift Feels ‘Violated’ After Blake Lively Texts Were Released — Source

The rift between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively appears to be widening, as Lively’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni once again pulls Swift’s name into the spotlight. Earlier this month, a judge unsealed some private texts from Lively and Baldoni’s friend circle, respectively.

In some of the released documents, Lively and Swift discussed the former’s alleged problems with Baldoni. A source has claimed that the “Cardigan” singer feels “violated” that her private text messages with Lively have become a matter of public discussion.

Blake Lively texts release ‘doesn’t sit well’ with Taylor Swift, per source

Blake Lively sued her It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni in late 2024, alleging sexual harassment. The 41-year-old has denied those allegations and even filed a countersuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. However, the countersuit was dismissed, and the trial in Lively’s case is scheduled for May 18.

Taylor Swift and Lively’s friendship has become strained since Baldoni dragged the Grammy winner into the legal battle. The release of the private texts between Swift and Lively has reportedly left the Grammy winner even more upset.

A source told Us Weekly, “It’s honestly been really hard for Taylor. Having her texts out there made her feel exposed and kind of violated, like, something private suddenly wasn’t hers anymore. That doesn’t sit well with her.” They also claimed that Swift was only trying to be a good friend to Lively and had no intentions of getting “involved” in the legal battle.

Another insider told the outlet, “Even though she was sending Blake messages and went to the apartment, she wasn’t involved in creating a master plan to take anyone down. She was being supportive of her friend and that is it. Just as any friend would.” The singer has yet to address the matter publicly, and her representatives have not responded to requests for comment.
