David and Victoria Beckham are reportedly really concerned about the growing distance between them and Brooklyn. One insider shared with People, “David and Victoria love Brooklyn and are afraid of losing their son. They would take him back in a minute.”
However, the same report suggests that while the Beckhams want their son back in their lives, their willingness to reconcile does not extend to his wife, Nicola Peltz. A second source claimed, “The Beckhams have no intention of reconciling with their son unless Nicola is out of the picture.” That condition, according to the insider, is unlikely to be accepted. “That’s not an ultimatum he’s going to cave on,” the source added, taking into account the evidence of Brooklyn’s loyalty to Peltz.
The source alleged that Brooklyn feels emotionally closer to his wife than to his parents. They added he “has felt more support from his wife in these past three years than from his parents in his entire life.” Despite the tension, another source close to the Beckham family said the door is not completely closed. “David and Victoria believe that over time, Brooklyn will come back. But they can’t do anything until then,” the insider claimed.
The family rift escalated publicly last week when Brooklyn Beckham shared an Instagram Story calling out his parents, stating that he does “not want to reconcile” with them. In the post, he accused his mother, Victoria Beckham, of “cancelling making Nicola’s [wedding] dress in the eleventh hour” and then “hijacked” the couple’s first dance, allegedly dancing “very inappropriately” with him.
The divide appears to stem from deeper family differences. One source described the Beckhams as “basically a billion-dollar corporation,” adding that David and Victoria are “very strategic about everything they do.”
