There’s a new twist in the whole “toxic” mom group drama. Ashley Tisdale, who has publicly spoken out against the group of celebrity parents is still close with Haylie Duff. Haylie is the estranged sister of fellow actress Hilary Duff, one of those in the so-called toxic mom group.
Ashley recently spent time with Haylie just a few weeks after Hilary admitted to having a brewing feud with the High School Musical actress.

Ashley won’t let a little drama stop her from spending time with Haylie. On Tuesday, the 7th Heaven actress posted a photo on her Instagram story of a playdate her daughter, Lulu, was having with Ashey’s eldest daughter, Jupiter.
This is a very public stance that Ashley is taking following the mom group drama. It wasn’t that long ago when she published an essay denouncing that group which consisted of Hilary, Meghan Trainor and Mandy Moore. Ashley claimed that she didn’t feel “cool enough” after reportedly being excluded by those three.
According to Ashley there were group text chains that didn’t include everyone. That apparently led to cliques forming within the group. After seeing three or four hangouts the group had without her, Ashley says she felt she wasn’t a part of the group anymore, something she shared publicly.
The online drama didn’t stop there, as Hilary’s husband, Matthew Koma, called Ashley a self-obsessed, tone-deaf person. Mandy, meanwhile, cryptically said that she had to mourn, in a way, how some of her friendships have changed. Dylan Efron recently defended Ashley saying she had always been nothing but kind to him. His brother Zac co-starred with Ashley in High School Musical.
As for Hilary and her sister it’s still unclear exactly why the two seem to have become distant from one another. Neither have been photographed together since 2019.
