Prince William & Prince Harry Are ‘Worlds Apart,’ Says Royal Author

Although headlines keep teasing a Prince William and Prince Harry reunion, it is not likely to happen. The Prince of Wales was on duty in Scotland. Meanwhile, the Duke of Sussex returned to the U.K. for a High Court appearance.

So, the royal brothers were in the same country again, but there was no meet-up. Now, a royal author claims that the split is centered on trust. He also argues that one brother is moving forward, and the other is stuck looking back.

Prince William embodies the future while Prince Harry’s ‘trapped in the past,’ says author

According to a HELLO! report dated January 26, 2026, royal author Robert Jobson said this. “Yes, they were in the same country, but it’s like they’re worlds apart”. He added, “William and Kate are the embodiment of the future of the monarchy”. In contrast, he said, “Harry looks trapped in the past”. He also said, “The divide is now absolute” as “Harry’s distance from his family isn’t measured in miles anymore”.

The report described William and Kate’s Scotland stop as upbeat and public. The royal couple tried curling with Team GB athletes in Stirling. Then, they visited a tartan-weaving charity and joined a world-record scarf attempt. William and Kate joked with each other as they tried the new things together. Meanwhile, Harry was preparing to testify against a publisher, who reportedly made Meghan’s life “an absolute misery”.

Jobson framed that contrast as the core issue. He said, “William is out there doing the job, serving”. Then he added, “William is focused on duty, Harry on grievance”. He explained how Harry is “still fighting yesterday’s battles” and “nursing old wounds”.

The Royal author went on to say, “William is building a future” and “he no longer needs Harry’s drama”. He added, “Reconciliation needs compromise, but it mostly needs trust, and there is no trust between the brothers.” For now, Prince William and Prince Harry stay tied to the monarchy, yet move in separate lanes.
