Zac Efron got name-dropped in court on Tuesday. The High School Musical actor was mentioned during the trial of the wealthy Alexander brothers. A witness who went under the pseudonym Katie Moore told jurors about an invite she received to a party at Zac’s apartment in New York City in 2012. This was a dream for her, which sadly turned into a nightmare hours later.
At the party, she alleges being offered alcohol. Much of the remainder of the evening was a blur for her, though she says that she remembers hitting a club with Tal Alexander and a friend of hers. When she woke up the next morning, she alleges that Tal’s brother Alon was standing over her with the two reportedly naked. Alon is the brother of Tal and Oren Alexander, two prominent real estate moguls. The three are on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting over a dozen women and young girls over a period spanning nearly a decade. They are also facing rape and trafficking charges.
The Alexander brothers are accused of using Zac Efron’s name to bait victims

Celebrity names are sure to draw anyone’s attention. That’s what New York prosecutors believe the wealthy siblings did to lure young women. In her emotional testimony, Katie claims that Alon repeatedly raped her and mocked her after the fact.
She told the jury on Tuesday that he kept pushing her down. After that she claims to have told Alon, “I don’t want to have sex with you.” She alleges that he found this humorous while reportedly replying, “You already did.” In court, Katie was clear to say that she barely interacted with Zac on the night in question and did not accuse him of any wrongdoing. In November Zac made a surprise appearance on Dancing with the Stars in support of his brother Dylan.
Katie is one of the many alleged victims in this matter. Assistant US Attorney said in his opening statement that the brothers “masqueraded as party boys when really they were predators.”
The brother’s lawyer, Teny Geragos, says his clients are being mischaracterized. He says the claims against them date back to their college days. He added “That is not trafficking. That is dating.” The brothers have denied the allegations.
