In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the singer-actress explained that while makeup and outfits matter, scent is what ultimately makes her feel ready to face the world. “I feel very confident once I’ve got my skin care going and my fit check is right,” Lopez said. “But I need to put that little last finishing touch.” According to her, that finishing touch is always fragrance, which she describes as her personal signature.
The revelation comes as JLo Beauty enters a new chapter. The brand, launched in 2020, is expanding its skincare offerings with a new neck-focused product. She told the outlet that years of dancing and touring made her more aware of how much strain the neck endures. This inspired Lopez to develop a serum that addresses texture, firmness, and hydration.
The “On The Floor” hitmaker claims the product was created to target multiple signs of aging at once. She says it uses a blend of peptides, amino acids, and hydrating ingredients. Lopez makes the product part of her morning routine, massaging it upward before sunscreen.
Still, even with skincare playing a major role in her daily regimen, Lopez insists scent is what brings everything together. She noted that while she could name makeup staples like lip stain or mascara, fragrance is what makes her feel “completely done.”
Beyond products, Jennifer Lopez reflected on how her approach to beauty has evolved since becoming a founder. She said the past five years have changed her not only professionally, but personally, reinforcing her belief in “beauty from the inside out.” Looking ahead, Lopez says she wants JLo Beauty to continue leaning into wellness and self-care.
