Nicola Peltz’s $1 Million Allowance Claims Disputed

Reports of Nicola Peltz’s nepotism privilege are widely exaggerated, according to sources defending her, after recent accusations over an alleged allowance from her ultra-rich father.

British journalist Marina Hyde stated on her Rest is Entertainment podcast that Nicola receives a monthly $1 million allowance from her father, amid her ongoing dispute with David and Victoria Beckham, her parents-in-law. Nicola, who has been married to Brooklyn Beckham since 2022, has been defended in a statement by her husband, who said he “won’t reconcile” with his parents after their hostility towards his wife.

“This is 100 percent false,” an insider close to Nicola told E! News. “The quote in question has no source because it is not true. It is simply a fabricated rumor made up from thin air.”

Marina said on the January 27 episode of her podcast, “from what I hear, I think the Beckhams give Brooklyn a lot of money, but not like insane money.”

“The kind of have this dream—in my view, a bit of a pipe dream to some degree—that [Brooklyn] will stand on his own two feet and become independent,” she added.

“Maybe Nelson Peltz will deny this,” Marina continued. “But I hear that he said to them, ‘I give my daughter a million-dollar-a-month allowance. Why don’t you?'”

Nicola is one of eight children of billionaire hedge fund manager Nelson Peltz, and his current wife, model Claudia Heffner. One of Nicola’s first major roles as an actor was Katara in the live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The film was universally panned by critics and fans of the original series.

One of the biggest criticisms of the film was the whitewashed casting of Katara, an Indigenous and Asian character. There was much speculation online that Nicola was cast in the role because of her father. Nelson has invested in major film studios such as Disney. Additionally, Nelson criticized the studio for films like Black Panther for having an all-black cast.

Nicola has been twice nominated for the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actress. The first time was in 2011 for The Last Airbender. The second time was for her role as Tessa in Transformers: Age of Extinction (2014).
