Nicki Minaj continues to extend her support to President Donald Trump, recently opening up about how she cannot stand the general public bullying him. When Minaj saw how people repeatedly treated Trump poorly, she resonated with his situation, having faced the same for many years. Therefore, she couldn’t see others facing the same bullying she endured and decided to stand up. She also thinks he doesn’t deserve to be bullied.
Nicki Minaj stands up for Donald Trump
During a conversation on Katie Miller’s podcast, the host asked Minaj about the topics that prompted her to speak out about the conservative world: immigration, religious freedom, or something else. To this, she replied, “Religious freedom is something that’s very important to me.” She further revealed that she saw how the general public repeatedly treated President Trump and “couldn’t handle” it.
“I felt that same, you know, a lot of that bullying in this man’s campaign, and all of the lying. I felt that that had been done to me for so many years, and I was watching it in real time happen to someone else, and I didn’t think he deserved it. And it made me think, I can’t do this anymore.”
This is not the first time Minaj has addressed the topic of bullying around Trump; previously, during a U.S. Treasury event in Washington, D.C., she continued to show her support for him. She claimed she’s the “President’s No. 1 fan” and said this stance won’t change, no matter the backlash she faces. She said, “The hate or what people have to say, it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more.”
Firmly stating her stance on bullying, she further added, “We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him and, you know, the smear campaigns. It’s not going to work. He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him.”
