A Netflix show is receiving some unwanted publicity. Season four of Bridgerton debuted in late January, and some fans are already noting one glaring mistake. Four new episodes dropped last month, with party scene from the season four premiere being under the microscope
As it turns out, the show’s editing team may have missed one detail on the cutting room floor. The error is becoming a trending topic for fans of the show online.
Fans spotted an editing error during Bridgerton Season 4
Even the best fail to notice things occasionally. In episode one of the fourth season, there’s a masquerade ball hosted by Violet Bridgerton. She is chatting briefly with Lady Araminta, her daughter Rosamund and Posy Li. As they’re chatting, some fans noticed Lady Amarita, played by Katie Leung, has a band-aid on her ear. Band-aids were invented in 1920, while the show’s setting is in the 1800’s.
One person joked that the character might be Cho Chang, a character from Harry Potter played by Katie. Some wished the editing and production team had done a better job of covering the band-aid. Others, though, thought the mistake was rather minor overall.
Katie says that she hadn’t watched the show before getting cast ahead of the fourth season. She says that since joining the show, everybody has been incredibly welcoming. Simone Ashley, who plays Anthony’s wife Kathani or Kate on the program, made headlines in August. Reports suggested she was dating Dawson’s Creek star Joshua Jackson. She joined the cast of Bridgerton ahead of season two.
The first four episodes of season four are currently streaming on Netflix. The second part will be released in four episodes, scheduled to drop on the streaming service on February 26.
