Diddy’s mother is ready to clear her son’s name. The Netflix documentary about her son, called Sean Combs: The Reckoning has painted the rapper in an extremely negative light. Janice Combs took exception to how it portrayed her famous son, calling it a character assassination. According to an insider, “Janice is furious.”
Diddy is currently in jail serving a 50-month sentence on prostitution charges, but was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking. Janice reportedly wants a documentary response that changes the narrative about her son.
Janice Combs reportedly “wants the record corrected”
Janice apparently has a few things to counter the damaging stories many shared in the Diddy documentary. Sources claim that she has years of family videos, studio sessions, behind-the-scenes clips and glowing testimonials about her son. “She wants the record corrected – loudly,” an insider told RadarOnline.
She’s reportedly calling on Diddy’s team not to let the accusations of misconduct go unanswered. By the sounds of it, the mother will get her way with a source saying, “trust me – no one says no to Janice.”
While her son serves out his prison sentence, Janice is supposedly working hard behind the scenes to get people to vouch for him on the record in a positive manner. Reports indicate she’s been relentless in her pursuit to have her son’s name cleared. According to an executive, there’s enough footage for multiple films about Diddy. They could include rebuttals, reputation rebuilding, and a biography of him, among other things.
In the meantime, Diddy will have to get used to life behind bars for the foreseeable future. In January, Donald Trump said he wouldn’t grant the rapper’s request for a pardon and early release. Diddy will be a free man in May of 2028.
