Donald Trump Comments on Taking Over ‘Voting’ in ’15 Places’

President Donald Trump revealed that he wants the Republicans to “take over” the voting in at least “15 places” during a conversation with former FBI deputy director Dan Bongino in a podcast interview. He reiterated his unproven claims that he triumphed in multiple states in the 2020 election, where Joe Biden won. While he didn’t disclose the names of states he was talking about, he did connect the idea of federal voting to his mass deportation campaign.

Donald Trump talks about taking over voting

During a conversation on The Dan Bongino Show, Donald Trump referred to several states as “crooked,” repeating his earlier claim that he won the 2020 election in those states and not Joe Biden. He further said, “The Republicans should say, ‘We want to take over. We should take over the voting in at least — many, 15 places. The Republicans ought to nationalize the voting.”

He did not specifically name the states but linked the idea of federal control over voting to his deportation program. For context, Trump’s administration has implemented a mass deportation policy that involves the detention, confinement, and removal of immigrants who do not hold U.S. citizenship. Trump further added, “If Republicans don’t get them out, you will never win another election as a Republican.”

During the 2020 election, Trump publicly accused Biden of rushing to declare himself the victor of the election, further pointing towards electoral fraud with no solid evidence. In a statement, he wrote, “We all know why Joe Biden is rushing to falsely pose as the winner, and why his media allies are trying so hard to help him: they don’t want the truth to be exposed.”

“The simple fact is this election is far from over. Joe Biden has not been certified as the winner of any states, let alone any of the highly contested states headed for mandatory recounts or states where our campaign has valid and legitimate legal challenges that could determine the ultimate victor,” he further added.
