Jimmy Kimmel joins Anti-ICE protest in LA
Kimmel shared a photo on Instagram from the ICE Out protest in Los Angeles County. The image featured him, his wife, Molly McNearney, and his children, who were holding protest placards. Their four protest boards included slogans like “Deport ICE,” “Raise good girls and Pretti boys,” “Melt ICE,” and “Paid Agitator.”
Appreciating people’s efforts to protest for a good cause, Kimmel wrote in the caption, “We were proud to see so many paid agitators (AKA patriotic Americans) marching en masse for the ICE OUT rally in the South Bay today. Keep it going!”
Earlier, Kimmel broke down during a monologue on his talk show about the shooting of Alex Pretti. He revealed that he spent the weekend looking at his phone, like everyone else, feeling “shocked” about the Minneapolis situation. Condemning the acts of the federal agents, he added, “One atrocity after another being committed by this gang of this poorly trained, shamefully led, mask-wearing goons. And that is what they are. They’re goons committing vile, heartless, and even criminal acts.”
Reflecting on the safety of his family, he elaborated, “Every day is a nightmare now. My wife and I have family in Minneapolis who are afraid to take their kids to school… Is the plan to just keep doing this in every city that didn’t vote for Donald Trump? Does anyone on any side believe this is good leadership?”
As Jimmy Kimmel slammed DHS Secretary Kristi Noem for manipulating people’s views over the shooting, he also encouraged the audience to look at the video, do their research, and form their own opinions without being gaslighted.
