Miranda Kerr is opening up about her divorce from Orlando Bloom. The couple married in 2010, but their marriage officially ended three years later. Things between them apparently took a turn for the worse in the latter stages of their marriage, prompting the two to separate.
It seems as though the Victoria’s Secret model didn’t like the person she was becoming as Mrs. Orlando Bloom. She and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor share a 15-year-old son named Flynn.

After three years as husband and wife, things between Miranda and Orlando weren’t trending in a positive manner. That’s how Miranda sees it, with the model sharing how toxic things had become between them at one point. Speaking on the podcast We Need to Talk, the Australian-born model says, “We both knew that the relationship was not bringing out the best in each other.” As a result, they decided it was best for them to go their separate ways.
In doing so, though, Miranda says she told him that they must always put their child first. Since breaking up, she says that they both did their share of spiritual work with a focus on forgiveness. This was in part to help them get along better and be good co-parents to Flynn. She adds that they have not made their divorce about themselves, but rather about what’s in their son’s best interest.
These days, Miranda is married to Evan Spiegel, and the couple have three kids together. She says that her husband has good boundaries when it comes to Miranda and Orlando’s co-parenting. Reportedly, the model has even gone so far as to help Orlando deal with other moments in his personal life. Insiders claim that Miranda was the peacemaker when he and Katy Perry broke up. Orlando and Katy have one daughter.
