Tom Brady’s Son Would DM These Stars if He Had Dad’s Instagram Account

Tom Brady is still finding ways to connect with his kids, even when the conversation turns to social media habits. The retired NFL star, 48, recently appeared alongside his 16-year-old son Benjamin on Instagram’s “Carversations”, where the father-son duo opened up about online behavior, digital boundaries, and how they communicate in today’s social-first world.

During the candid chat, Tom Brady and Benjamin revealed how differently they use social media. Although the teen admitted he usually sends funny or random videos, Brady shared that his messages are often more intentional. “I think it’s funny to send you some goofy stuff on occasion,” Brady explained. He added, “But for the most part, if I’m going to share stuff with you, I want you to look at it and see a real value in it.”

The moment quickly turned playful when Brady asked Benjamin what he would do if he had access to his father’s Instagram account for 24 hours. Without hesitation, the teen laid out his plan.

“First of all, I want some cool clothes,” Benjamin joked, adding that he would DM “some really cool businesses” and musicians he likes. He specifically named Travis Scott and Drake. Pretending to be his dad, Benjamin said he would ask for outfits, even requesting a smaller size while teasing that he’s “started losing some muscle recently.”

“So you’re going to pretend like you’re me?” Brady quipped, prompting an immediate and amused “Yeah! I’m going to be you,” from his son.

Brady also shares son Jack, 18, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan, and daughter Vivian, 13, with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen. In a recent newsletter, the seven-time Super Bowl champion reflected on fatherhood. He emphasized that being a great parent isn’t limited to traditional roles or trophies.

“Your children are watching everything,” Brady wrote, noting that showing up consistently, honoring commitments, and leading by example can be just as impactful as bedtime stories. For Brady, the lesson is clear: parenting, much like football, is about effort, presence, and purpose.
