Recently, a Below Deck Mediterranean alum shook the yachting world when she announced her pregnancy. Fans of this former deckhand had no idea she was expecting until just a few days ago, when she teased us with her bump on Instagram.
And now that she’s given birth, congratulations are in order!
Former Below Deck Med star Malia White is officially a mom
While she kept her pregnancy under wraps until very recently, Malia White confirmed her baby’s birth with an Instagram post this morning. The carousel reveals the charter and sales broker’s pregnancy journey from just the teeniest twinkle in her eye, through the expansion of her belly and finally to a snap of an infant’s tiny foot. Oh, the sweet little toes!
“How it started versus how it’s going,” she captioned the post. Though she didn’t share any pics of the baby, she did include photos of her elusive boyfriend Robert.
Not surprisingly, Malia didn’t include any other details of the baby’s birth. She managed to keep her impending childbirth hidden from the media until nearly the last minute. Way to have a baby on your own terms, Malia!
Though she caught her Below Deck family by surprise, the announcement was met with joy. “Best news ever!! So excited for you,” Bugsy Drake commented, while Daisy Kelliher simply wrote, “Wow congrats!”
Courtney Veale wrote, “Love u guys. Can’t wait to come round for cuddles soon xxxx.” She also added a cheeky PS, “Im deffo gonna be her favourite babysitter.”
Fellow deckie Alex Radcliffe was so gobsmacked by the news, he could only respond, “Holy sh-tttttttt. Congrats dude.”
BDM co-star Natasha Webb added an affectionate comment: “Congrats lovely. I just heard last night from one of the crew I’m temping with now. So over the moon for you! Such amazing news.”
While Chief Stew, fellow Winter House alum and best friend Katie Flood added her kudos: “This lil girl has no idea how lucky she is to have a Mumma like you, watch out world. Love you guys and our newest green crew member.”
Sounds as though Malia and Robert will have no trouble at all finding willing babysitters. Congratulations, Malia!
