Halle Berry will be walking down the aisle once again. The Oscar winner and mother of two has been in a relationship with singer Van Hunt for nearly six years.
The model and actress has been married three times before. She and Oliver Martinez officially divorced in 2016 after three years together and one son. Issues of child support and custody between them did not get settled until 2023, which usually puts the brakes on new engagements and things like this.
Now though, the Monster’s Ball actress is ready to take the leap again with the Grammy Award winner.

Contrary to reports, Halle is ready to spend the rest of her life with Van. There had been rumblings that she rejected his first marriage proposal. Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, the former beauty contestant set the record straight. “I said yes, I will marry him!” said Halle. The 59-year-old then showed off her shiny engagement ring.
While she’s refuting any notion that she said no to his initial offer, it sounds like Halle had some reservations. In June 2025, Van said he popped the question to her, revealing that the answer was on hold. Halle admits she was a little hesitant, given it’d be her fourth time tying the knot. This will be the first time, however, that her musician fiancé takes the plunge into married life.
When she’s not acting, Halle is busy speaking out on political issues and championing many women’s causes. In December, she called out California Governor Gavin Newsom for vetoing a bill to support medical care for menopausal women.
Halle was first married to now-retired professional baseball player David Justice, then to Eric Benét, and later to the aforementioned Oliver. She admits that Van is the person she should have been married to all along. Halle says neither of them feels they have to say I do, but rather they want the expression that comes with it.
