King Charles Publicly Asked About Ex-Prince Andrew and the Police

King Charles was publicly questioned about his brother, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, following the latest batch of Jeffrey Epstein files. While greeting a flock of royal fans alongside Queen Camilla, the monarch was heckled about his disgraced brother, who was stripped of his remaining royal titles last year.

On February 5, King Charles and Camilla met with well-wishers in Essex, shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries. But, in a video posted on social media, someone in the crowd can be heard asking the monarch about Andrew’s alleged involvement with convicted sex offender Jeffrey.

“Charles? Charles?” the bystander asked, while holding up a cell phone. “Should the police be investigating Andrew?”

It’s unclear whether or not the King heard the heckler. He continued to move through the crowd without acknowledging or answering the question.

This is not the first time that the royals have faced public questioning over the former Duke of York. Just the day before, on February 4, Camilla was also queried by a reporter as she visited a London school.

And, last month, Prince William and Kate Middleton were also asked about Andrew. On January 20, William and Kate greeted locals in Scotland. As they did, an onlooker repeatedly shouted: “How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein?”

Republic, a group calling for the abolishment of the British monarchy, uploaded a video of the encounter to X.

All of this comes amid increasing scrutiny on Andrew, who was again included in the recent batch of Epstein files. Inclusion in the files is not an indication of any wrongdoing, and Andrew has always denied any allegations against him, but there’s no denying the microscope he’s found himself under.
