A former member of the CIA and FBI special agent believes Nancy Guthrie was “stalked for some time” prior to being kidnapped. It has now been six days since her disappearance was discovered.
Nancy’s children, TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie, Annie and Camron, posted an emotional video on Instagram Wednesday evening. There, the siblings spoke directly to her kidnapper(s), and asked for proof of life. Nothing has yet been given.
The search for Nancy Guthrie enters its sixth day

Expert Tracy Walder revealed to Page Six that a stalker may have been following Nancy for a while. “This is a person who is clearly suited up and gloved up, right? Even though they may have surprised [Nancy] in her sleep, I find it very hard to believe that she wouldn’t have fought back a little bit in some way,” Tracy explained. Although Nancy was 84, she predicts there was a struggle that would have dispersed DNA.
At yesterday’s press conference, authorities said they have not found any DNA from suspects in Nancy’s Arizona home. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said the doorbell camera at Nancy’s house was disconnected on Sunday at about 1:47 a.m.
It was also confirmed that the blood spotted on the porch was that of Nancy Guthrie.
Tracy estimates that, according to the timeline provided, the offender spent 45 minutes at the house. They were also aware of the security cameras to remove them. “Now, that doesn’t always mean it’s a family member. That could mean it’s a stalker,” she says, adding that Nancy’s home and email addresses and phone number were accessible online. This is problematic with Savannah being a public figure.
“There’s no way this is a robbery gone wrong,” she adds. “If this is something that was planned, which I do think it was … maybe this person knew about the condition she has, and maybe this person knew to have medication for her in it.”
Tracy doesn’t think money is the prime motivator, but rather an obsession or beef with Savannah.
